Ozmo is looking for a dynamic and high growth potential individual to join our team as an Employee Development Manager. As Employee Development Manager, you will be focused on ensuring we hire and retain the best talent and build a team of properly trained and highly engaged Content Developers. As a member of the Content Development leadership team, you will be specifically focused on managing the onboarding and growth of a large number of web developers. This is a unique role managing a team in a hybrid software/production environment. You will report to the Director of Digital Content Production who will help guide your career at Ozmo.

​Responsibilities

  • Oversee all employee management duties to support our matrix organization
  • Implement and revise compensation programs and evolve the employee performance evaluation program in collaboration with the Director of Digital Content Production
  • Participate in the evolution of the organizational structure of the department ensuring team members are set up for success
  • Conduct continuous employee engagement and satisfaction surveys across all dimensions of employees' lives at Ozmo
  • Assist in the development, revision and recommendations for personnel policies and procedures for the Digital Content Production team
  • Ensure adherence of policies and procedures for all members of the web development team
  • Share responsibility for maintaining and revising the company’s handbook as it pertains to Digital Content Production
  • Manage the employee lifecycle from recruiting through termination
  • Oversee recruitment efforts for all personnel, including writing and placing job ads, screening and hiring decisions
  • Participate in new employee orientations and employee relations counseling

Requirements & qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • Three to five years of cumulative experience in a people management role
  • Strong problem solving skills and detail orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to be impartial and unbiased
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • A positive attitude and motivational demeanor
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and encourage young professionals
  • Tech industry experience preferred
