Ozmo is seeking an innovative Machine Learning Engineer to join our team!  You'll be part of a small but growing team that works cross-functionally to ideate, prototype, build and train ML models that ultimately improve the intelligence and effectiveness of Ozmo’s device support solutions.  Covering areas like data collection, search, answer recognition and classification, natural language processing and content recommendation, your work will be foundational to our next generation of products and features.

Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and develop import processes for data sources associated with a business problem
  • Analyze data and recommend machine learning algorithms for creating industry-leading solutions to business problems
  • Develop training and testing pipelines to assess the performance of chosen algorithms
  • Contribute to full stack development of machine learning algorithms from design to product implementation in concert with the product team
  • Keep abreast of machine learning literature and research publications to evangelize and implement the latest techniques into our solutions
  • Project management of timelines, deadlines, feature sets, and release

Requirements:
  • 2+ years working with applied machine learning problems such as NLP, data classification and content recommendation
  • BS/BA, MS, or PhD in CS/CE/EE or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with large data sets in SQL, Spark, Hadoop
  • Experience working with data analysis using R / R Studio or similar tools
  • Practical experience with Machine Learning and/or Deep Learning
  • Experience using Python scientific tools such as Scikit, NLTK, Numpy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Keras
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software design
  • Baseline understanding of the mathematics behind Machine Learning algorithms
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Achievements in ML competitions such as Kaggle a plus
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services a plus
  • Legally eligible to work at our office in Blacksburg, VA
